My country is the Dominican Republic, which is located in the Greater Antilles. The Dominican Republic wasn't its own country at first. It was a big island shared with Haiti called Hispaniola. Now that the Dominican Republic has gained their independence its bordering countries are Haiti and it's also west of Puerto Rico and east of Cuba. Political borders have the Dominican Republic and Haiti forever.
This dispute called the Haitian-Dominican conflict happened because the consequences of the European struggle for control of the New World in the 17th century. When the Spaniards and the French inhabited the same country, the Spaniards lived on the western part of the island while the French lived on east side. But in 1605, the Spaniards governor ordered them to invade the eastern side of the island in order to end trade with the French. It was a brutal battle that killed many people just over who deserved more land than the other. The French always tried to invade their land even after the Dominican Republic gained the independence, but the Treaty of Ryswick which was signed in 1697, didn't entirely put an end to the destruction but it did help settle the major differences. So now Haiti and the Dominican Republic have an ongoing hate but they do share some of the same characteristics because they were one big island in the beginning.

He did not disclose the identities of the athletes. Liriano is the medical director for United States-based Regenocyte in the Dominican Republic. The company specializes in the use of stem cells for regenerative therapy.

WOaw… I didn’t know much about the hurricaneseason till now… this will be the first time that i’ll go to the Dominican Republic and I booked my vacation more than a month a go in Holland. They told me it wouldn’t be a problem to go there but this makes me worry a lot. We are going to Sosua from 28 of august untill 12 september …. is it safe for us to go there cause I really don’t know what to expect…. ??
