Thats why we can have a 2 hour news segment about one soldier who died in Iraq, but just state in passing “today 35 bodies were dug up in Ciudad Juarez. In other news….” I feel like mexico is going to repeat the revolution it had almost 100 years ago right now by having just a complete breakdown of federal authority. This should mean more to the USA than another war over oil, but then again these people arent white and dont have any resources we want.
Only a person 800 miles away from the El Paso / Juarez border would make such a comparison.
The United States in no way compares with the corruption / poverty / violence that currently exists in Ciudad Juarez.
That is the reason that so many Mexican residents are fleeing their country to live in the safe haven that is the U.S.
Even Juarez's own mayor and his family cannot live safe in Juarez, they currently live in El Paso.
